An electrical installation condition report (EICR), also commonly known as an electrical safety certificate or report, is an in-depth check of the electrical installations at your residential or commercial property.
Electrical installations deteriorate with age and use, so regular maintenance is vital for ensuring their safety and operability for those living or working in the building.
With an EICR, you can solve issues before they become a risk, saving money in the long run and also ensuring you're staying compliant with current laws & regulations.
The EICR will show whether the electrical installation is in a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory condition and will detail a list of observations affecting the safety or requiring improvements. You can read more here on the different codes you may find on your EICR.
Typically an EICR will take around 2-3 hours to complete, depending on the size of a property and the number of circuits requiring testing.
This will depend on the size of the property, and if the building is used for residential or commercial purposes. Our prices start from £120+VAT.
If your property has had a full EICR in the last 2 years, but you have a new tenant moving in, we can offer a visual inspection.
A visual electrical inspection looks at the electrical wiring system and identifies defects, damage or deterioration of the electrical installation without any circuit testing.
